Today I realized how little of the people in my I know. Or, if I know them, it's only by strange nicknames or because of weird things they do or say. Or of weird things about their houses. See, after everyone got off the bus, we went walking around, and we went to meet Harmony (who I met during the summer) and Lillian (who's in my Humanities class), and everyone talked about so-and-so's dog or where so-and-so lived. Lillian is pretty cool. We did some serious Miss Bauer bashing.
Other than that, I was forced to suffer through yet another of those silly fundraiser assemblies, where this guy ranted and shouted about the prizes and about how we should do this or that or whatever. Going to those things makes me feel embarassed, because it's just so stupid and rigged, and I know it. Maybe everyone makes it a point to forget from the hours of 12:55 to 2:55 on that day. The only welcome thing about it was that the periods were cut short. I hate how everyone gets so enthusiastic over such cheap prizes. They say they'll give you a DVD player, or something, but it's a cheapie one. And this is after about 100 magazines, practically. And I hate selling those things.
As you can tell, my school spirit is about zero. Possibly less.
